Quotes This Week

“[The strong film production statistics in B.C.] reflect a nice steady growth and the fact the combination of talent and public policy and capital going into it seems to be working well.  It's very encouraging.”
Pete Mitchell, Vancouver Film Studios Vice-President. Vancouver Sun, March 23, 2007

“The provincial government got it right by introducing legislation to ban smoking in indoor public places and on school grounds and to restrict where tobacco products are sold.  The best part of the legislation are the restrictions placed on the display of tobacco products in retail outlets accessible to youth under 19.”
Jack Boomer, Clean Air Coalition of B.C. Victoria Times Colonist, March 20, 2007.
