Quotes This Week

"Renewable power projects will create tens of thousands of jobs, typically in areas hit hard by the weakened forestry and mining industries. We will need the power--should we get it by creating jobs in B.C. or by creating jobs outside of the province? The answer is a simple one."
Paul Taylor, CEO, NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc. Vancouver Sun, January 14, 2009.

"Part of the objective of the [Trees for Tomorrow] program is to start using the trees as a sink for carbon so that's part of one of the main goals for it. But it's also about air quality, it's about energy efficiency in terms of shading and cooling and that sort of thing."
Dan Adamson, Environment Manager, Prince George B.C. CKDV, January 13, 2009.
