| Commemorating the sacrifice Canadian soldiers made to aid the Netherlands in liberation 65 years ago. "Over 7600 Canadians died during this campaign, and the people of the Netherlands have never forgotten this sacrifice. On May 5 the Netherlands recognizes Canada and the Allies' role with a national moment of silence, and on May 6 there is a celebration of liberation."
