B.C. families of children with special needs and individuals with developmental disabilities will benefit from $40 million in grants, Children and Family Development Minister Stan Hagen announced on June 12, 2006. Two funds, being managed provincewide by Vancouver Foundation, will help families buy equipment, convert vehicles and renovate homes so loved ones may remain at home and gain greater access to their communities.
